Who we are

Pitchova is operated by PE KOTSIURUBA MAKSYM, a private entrepreneur registered in Ukraine.

This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using Pitchova, you also agree to our Terms of Service.

Legal basis for processing

We process personal data only as necessary to provide the Pitchova service, including creating accounts, generating proposals, and managing subscriptions.

Processing is based on the performance of a contract (providing the service you requested) and legitimate interests such as maintaining system security, preventing abuse, and improving reliability.

What data we collect

Account data

When you create an account we store your email address and a unique account identifier. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

We do not store or access your password directly. Passwords are securely managed by the authentication provider.

Content you provide

To generate proposals you provide content including:

• Profiles (title and description)
• Presets (writing style preferences)
• Projects (title, description, tags)
• Job descriptions read from job pages
• Optional additional proposal instructions

This content is stored in your account and used solely to generate proposals on your behalf.

Generated content

Generated proposals may be stored in your account so you can review or reuse them later.

Usage data

We track the number of proposals generated during each billing period in order to enforce plan limits.

We may also store technical metadata such as generation status or error codes to debug and maintain the service.

Proposal feedback

When you provide feedback on a generated proposal (positive or negative), we collect and store:

• Feedback type (positive or negative)
• Optional reasons for negative feedback
• Optional comment
• Snapshot of the generated proposal text
• Snapshot of the job details, profile, preset, and projects used

This feedback data is used to improve the quality of proposal generation and understand how well the service meets user needs. You can only submit one feedback per proposal.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, request timestamps, and browser type as part of normal server operations.

This information is used for security, debugging, and service reliability.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Paddle which acts as the Merchant of Record.

We store your Paddle customer ID and subscription status. We do not have access to your credit card or payment details.

Browser extension

The Pitchova browser extension reads job post content (title, description, requirements) from supported job pages when you request proposal generation.

This information is sent to our servers to generate a proposal and is not stored beyond the generated proposal itself.

When you choose to paste a generated proposal, the extension inserts the text into the cover letter field on the job application page.

The extension may use cookies associated with the Pitchova website to detect whether you are signed in. It does not read cookies from other websites.

Some temporary data may be cached locally in the browser for performance.

Third-party services

We share data with the following services only as necessary to provide the product:

• OpenAI — receives user content to generate proposals.
• Paddle — processes payments and subscription management.
• Supabase — provides authentication and database infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosts the web application and APIs.

We do not sell or share personal data for advertising or marketing purposes.

International data transfers

Infrastructure providers used to operate the service may process data in different countries. By using the service you consent to such transfers where necessary to provide the service.

Cookies

Pitchova uses cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Data retention

Account data, profiles, presets, projects, and generated proposals remain stored while your account is active.

When an account is deleted, the data is removed from the active database. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period for system recovery purposes.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data.

Data security

We use secure connections (HTTPS), access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect your data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Pitchova is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
